Mangalore : The Supreme Court, which has rejected the plea to defer the verdict on the Ayodhya issue, geared up the prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in twin district.
DC V. Ponnuraj and Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said that, all the necessary measured have been taken to avoid any incidents taking place in the districts.
Section 144 has been clamped within the jurisdiction of the Mangalore commissionerate from 6 a.m. on September 29, Wednesday to the evening of Oct 1, Friday, said the commissioner.
He ensured power to maintain peace, law, and order in the coastal region and added that action will be taken against trouble makers and individuals bound to create problems.
Politicians and religious leaders have urged the people to exercise calm and accept the verdict peacefully.
