Mangalore : There was tension in Ullal after an incident wherein two youths were attacked by a group of eight persons  at Mogaveerpatna beach near Ullal  on August 13 evening. A silly reason was said to be the cause of the attack.

Nasir (25) from Kotepura and Ashfaq (22), the injured youth have been hospitalized. They, it is learnt were only sitting at the beach while the assailants were playing.

Soon after this the same night  Shahan (25) and Lathesh (25) were attacked by a group  of assailants with bottles. Even they were admitted to a hospital at Thokkottu where clashes erupted following the convergence of members of two groups. Police finally resorted to lathi charge.
