Udupi:  The Railway Police squad has seized several bottles of liquor which were being transported unauthorisedly in the Matsyagandha Express. The liquor was seized during a special operation conducted on Wednesday at the Bhatkal Railway Station.

The liquor bottles were found in a gunny bag in the general compartment. It is not known as to who placed the bag in the train. The value of the seized liquor has been estimated at Rs 1,19,256. The seized liquor has been handed over to the Bhatkal Excise officials who are conducting further investigation
