Belthangady: Selfie claimed life of two tourists at Charmadi ghat on Monday.

Hanumanthappa (34) and Nagabhooshan (38) of Chitradurga are the deceased persons. They were trying to take selfie at Charmadi ghat’s Aalekhan waterfalls.

After finishing their tour at Subrahmanya and Dharmasthala, both rested at Charmadi and decided to click selfies at Aalekhan falls. Accidentally both slipped off and fell into the waterfalls. Basavaraj, Nagesh and Honnesh were with them. The force of the water drew them into the waterfalls said eye witnesses.

Previously a youth from Mudigere taluk had also lost his life while taking selfie. Two months before one more youth had got injured himself for selfie craze.

As the rainy season is going on, many people are visiting to Charmadi to capture mind blowing pictures with their eyes and cameras.
