Mangalore:  Soad -3 (search) international, a Konkani reality show  promoted by Maand Sobhann, from  Kalangann, its headquarters, in Shakti Nagar, conducted Semi – finals of the Mangalore leg on Sunday, February 19 there.

There were 2 rounds, one for sentimental songs and the other for lively numbers, 12 contestants, 6 male and 6 female, participated in the event.

Only one singer out of 6 in each category gets the chance to participate in the finals, scheduled in Qatar (Middle East) in May 2012.

A panel of 3 Judges, including Chairman Eric Ozario of Maand Sobhann, decides on the winner.

Soad-3 is hosted by Mangalore Cricket Club and the stage singers headed by Eric, to identify new singing talents. The 2 winners are not spotted so far.
