Mangalore: The concluding day programme of the three-day seminar ‘Darshana-The Vision” at the Ramakrishna Mutt in Mangalore, for the post-graduate and Degree students, was inaugurated by State Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje on September 26, Friday. The programme has been organized to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
In her address, Shobha emphasized the need to create awareness on the sacrifices made for the nation by the valiant soldiers and great national leaders. She said the ideals advocated by Swami Vivekananda were relevant at all times.
Swami Jitakamanandaji, President of Ramakrishna Ashram who delivered the key note address said Swami Vivekananda has remained the youth icon and a perennial source of inspiration to young and old alike.
Several students from various colleges took part in the programme.
