Mangalore : Several experts presented papers which provided food for thought at a national conference on Data Science and Business Analytics held at the AIMIT campus of St Aloysius College in Mangalore on May 9, Wednesday.
The first session was on ‘Machine Learning for Vision Applications’ while during the second session several papers on “Business Intelligence – Achieving success through Data Quality” “Industry Application of Data Mining”, and “Enhanced Adaptive Item Sequencing using Biserial Correlation and Bayesian Classification” were presented.
Earlier, inaugurating the conference, Denzil Lobo S.J. Director of AIMIT, emphasized the need for a paradigm shift of the students’ approach towards learning, and added mere memorizing would achieve nothing.
Santosh Rebello, Dean of the Information Technology Department , also spoke on the occasion.
