Mangalore: Nurses who render selfless service to the society by taking care of patients with love and compassion are not getting their due recognition, regretted Dr BV Kathyayini, Principal, Dr MV Shetty College of Nursing.
She was speaking as a chief guest at a national conference on ‘Renaissance in Nursing’ organized by the nursing administration department and the second MSc nursing (2011-13) batch of Father Muller College of Nursing on October 6, Saturday.
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, FMCI, who presided over the function said the early 60s, renaissance began in the field of nursing with religious congregations.
Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator, FMCON, and Sr Winfred D’Souza, principal were also present on the occasion.
