Mangalore : A Seminar on Literary  Poetic matters was inaugurated at the Town Hall in City on  6th Wednesday.

Poets present occasion dealt with modern subjects like environment, communal harmony and humanity and such other modern aspects of life in the present world.  The speakers of the day refer to matters like innocence of children, injustice done to girls in civic society, present day life, the sensitivity felt by young poets on love and so on.

The event was organized by Shanthi Prakashana publishers of books in the city. The event gave a free hand to all the poets who participated in hearing poems of other poets as well as reciting their own new poems.

The event was part of a silver jubilee celebration by the publishers for public peace in the next three months.

Poets like Shameera Jahan, Zeenat Hasan, Umaira Kudroli, Vijayalakshmi Shetty and others were present.

Chidambar Baikampady  was a chief guest on the occasion.  Mobin Ullal conducted the program.
