Mangaluru: Mangaluru resident, Ram Poojary who accused in cheating case remitted the sum of Rs 2, 25,000 to the JMFC court on Thursday. The victim, senior citizen Girija Balegar who cheated by the accused will receive the amount from the court according to the legal proceedings.
The JMFC court here on Thursday had issued a strict warning to Ram Poojary, seized his vehicle and pronounced that the vehicle will be released only on the payment of Rs.2, 25,000 to the victim Girija Balegar by noon on October 26.
As per the order, the accused deposited the amount as complete settlement in the court. Girija Balegar is expected to get the amount on Friday from the court after complying with the court procedures.
Speaking with Human Rights Protection Foundation (HRPF), Girija Balegar expressed her inexplicable joy and profound gratitude and blessings towards the entire team of HRPF, especially Ashok Bhat and Advocate Prasad Bhandary who actively helped her to get speedy justice.
