Mangalore : The 37th death anniversary of Dr Narayan Subbarao Hardikar, the Founder of Bharath Seva Dal was observed by the Bharath Seva Dal and the Education Department, at the Government Model Higher Primary School, Mannaguda here on August 26, Sunday. MUDA Commissioner  Ajith Kumar Hegde  inaugurated the programme by paying his respects to the portrait of Dr NS Hardikar.

In his address, he recalled the yeoman services rendered by Bharath Seva Dal since its inception in 1923. He also called upon the students to imbibe the noble ideals advocated by late Hardikar.

DK District Working Journalist Union President Harish Rai promised to provide uniforms to Seva Dal students of those schools which have not provided the same to the students, on behalf of the DK District Working Journalist Union.

Senior Teachers of Seva Dal, Bharathi and Sarvamangala were felicitated on the occasion. District Seva Dal President Basheer Baikampady, Taluk President Prabhakar Sriyan, Taluk Secretary Udaya Kunder and others were present on the occasion.
