Mangaluru : Total of seven persons have been arrested in connection to a clash between two groups of youth in front of an apartment at Ballalbagh on October 30, Saturday night.

Those arrested are Rohith Shetty, Rakshith K, Dheeraj Shetty, Harshith, Keerthiraj, Rahul and Vivek. It has been gathered that around 15 to 20 youth armed with wickets, stones etc had resorted to fighting eventually resulting in damage to a four-wheeler and six two-wheelers.

Those fighting even tried to assault Barke SI Shobha who was on usual rounds during the night and tried to snatch her walkie takie.

Later, additional police personnel arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control. While seven were arrested, a few managed to escape.

Barke police have registered a suo moto case.
