Mangalore :With the elections to the local administrative bodies nearing, various political parties are busy wooing workers of other parties. The JD(S) which is in the lead has already been successful in drawing several Congress and BJP workers towards the party.
On March 2, Saturday several BJP workers from Marakada Ward 14, namely Suresh Shetty, Praveen Shetty and Rajesh Shetty joined the JD(S) at a simple ceremony held at the JD(S) South Assembly constituency office.
Party leader Sadananda Shetty inducted them into the party by handing over the party flag. He said more and more number of people were inclined towards the JD(S) and hoped the party would win majority in MCC polls.
JD(S) leaders MG Hegde, Aboobakker Natekal, Shashiraj Shetty Kavoor, Ganesh Malli and others were present.
