Bangalore : A stray dog carrying a severed human head in Bangalore University’s Jnanabharathi campus on Thursday sparked off panic among the students.
Soon after seeing the dog abandon the severed human head near the University’s hostel campus, the shocked students informed the police, who rushed to the spot and launched a massive search operation in the campus and surrounding areas.
After a thorough search, the police found a highly decomposed headless body of a middle-aged man in the wooded areas of the campus.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man might have committed
suicide since the police have found a rope near by. “It could also be
possible that he might have been murdered and body hanged,” a police official
said.
“Since body parts have been eaten by animals, we are unable to get any clues
to initiate investigations”, the police official added. The police have sent the body for autopsy even as they searched through the cases of missing persons to establish the identity of the deceased.-The Hindu
