Mangalore: A group of SFI activists attempted to disrupt the Rajyotsava celebrations in Mangalore on November 1, Friday  in protest against the non-fulfillment of a few of their demands.

The police department was very well prepared for this  as the SFI had announced earlier that it would not allow the Rajyotsava celebrations to take place.  When the SFI members who were sitting in a corner suddenly rose up and began raising slogans, they were rounded up and taken away. The Rajyotsava programmes continued smoothly.
