Mangalorec : SFI district president Nithin Kutthar said that SFI condemn the act of Manipal Gang Rape and urged the police officials to investigate the case give strict punishment to the rapists.
Addressing the protestors in front of SFI district office on June 27, Thursday, he said that the kind of incidents is being repeated from few months and every time the police has failed to arrest the culprits. He also urged the police must work to give justice to the victim and her family.
The people of the state had trust in newly formed Congress government, but such kind of incidents taking place and delay in investigation in this regard have lost their trust in it. Hence the government must interfere in the matter and order the police department to take stringent action against the culprits, he informed.
He also said that last year Belthangady’s Sowjanya was raped and murdered, but today her family was not given justice. The police officials never succeeded in arresting the real accused.
If the police fail to conduct the investigation, then SFI will hold violent protest in front of Police station, he warns.
