Mangalore: Shanadi Ajit Hegde has taken over as MUDA Commissioner on Wednesday under chairman Dr. Madhava Bhandary.

Hegde was earlier the financial controller of state Rural Roads Development Corporation in Bangalore. He was also in MCC 3 years ago as its joint commissioner, and then had been sent to state pollution Control Board as CEO in Bangalore. He had also served in Udupi Town council before coming to MCC, before 2008.

As Mangalore Urban Development Authority(MUDA) Commissioner he has the task of developing Suratkal and Mangalore Padua areas poltwise and distribute the various works on a priority basis to improve these two regions, he informed newsmen who met him on taking charge on November 9.
