New Delhi: The second largest wicket taker in the cricket history, from Australia (over 700 wickets) now functioning as captain and coach for Shilpa Shetty’s Rajasthan Royals team (that won the inaugural IPL-1 cup, 3 years ago under Warne), is retiring from his professional (cricket) career, it was announced by him on Friday. His girl friend Elizabeth Hurley had said that before she joined him in India from UK recently.
Warne has warned his admirers in a twitter he put out that the current Indian Premier League 4 season was his last but thought he could be a mentor (coach) in failure.
He asked those who care, to watch his team and cheer them against Mumbai (no chance) and Royal Bangalore (there are hopes to win).
Warne needed all the support he could get for his clashes in last 4 and finals to come. He needed 3 out of 4 matches to win, to grab the cup.
The spin legend and ladle’s man, has transformed the Rajasthan (boys) players into a formidable team of fighters in 2008.
