Mangaluru: “If a person is economically stronger, then according to shariyat law he can marry more than one wife. Now the Central government is creating issue by filing an affidavit to the Supreme Court questioning it,” said DK Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal.
Addressing the press personnel on Thursday at district Congress, he said that the person who marries more than one lady should treat all of them equally.
“This rule is constituted to restrict the men from the touch of prostitution. The constitution is India has also given the permission to follow the religious faith and beliefs. Now Modi led government creating unnecessary issue regarding this matter.
Further he said that Modi is fooling the people by giving fake promises and he try to implement better schemes for poor and needy instead of vowing fake promises.
“Modi is busy in providing Ache Din’s to Ambani, Adani and multinational companies, whereas UPA government worked for farmers, Dalits and unprivileged people. Modi promised to distribute Rs 15 lakh per head by bringing black money back to India, but none of the Indian citizen received a single rupee,” he added.
