Moodbidre : “Reconstitution of the ancient” was an important concern of M Gopalakrishna Adiga. He firmly believed that novelty can be sought and obtained trough reminiscing the ancient,” said S R Vijayashankara from Bangalore, at the ‘Shatamaanada Namana’ conference at Alva’s Nudisiri. This conference reminisces and acknowledges the most impactful literary figures of the century, and recollects their accomplishments. S R Vijayashankara delivered a talk stating that M Gopalakrishna Adiga was one such man.
“Logic transforms into ethics when used in stories. Emotions obtain an unmatched strength when they are framed into impactful stories. Then, it plays its own role in striking chords with the general public. Although, it is true that we are all struggling to figure out the essence of emotions and stories in the 21st century. The advent of technology has pushed us into a state of ambiguity. It is important that we find a way out of this,” added S R Vijayashankara.
He also stated “M Gopalakrishna Adiga always deliberated his focus towards what was specific. He believed that man must always be on a quest of gaining novel experiences, regardless of the struggles and fights he goes through. Though he did believe in pluralism, he also stood for sustaining one’s identity and pride along the course.
Goodness is neither natural nor abnormal. It is a concern of each individual mind. Since Adiga’s works largely advocate this subjectivity of goodness, they are hard for common people to comprehend.”
The President of Alva’s Nudisiri Dr. Nagatihalli Chandrashekar was present at the occasion.
