Bangalore: Jagadish Shettar will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of the state on July 12, Thursday at 12 noon. The function will be held at Rajbhavan and the Hubli leader will be the third chief minister of the BJP regime in Karnataka.
The path for Shettar towards the CM post became easy after outgoing CM Sadananda Gowda handed over his resignation to the governor on Wednesday.
Though it is not yet clear as to how many will take oath as ministers along with Shettar, the number is expected to be 31 or 32. Meanwhile, it has been learnt that there will be two Deputy Chief Ministers.
