Mangaluru : Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamji, one of Seers of the Udupi Astha Mutt passed away on 19th Thursday at Kasturba Medical College Hospital at Manipal, due to suspicion poisoning according to the doctors who conducted the post morterm on body. But what is not known is what food and when he had the food, that he had was poisoned.

Megamedia news had published a report yesterday that Ramya shetty has been preparing food for the Seer in a flat in Udipi and almost everyday packed the same and take it to shiroor Math were swamiji would have it. Sources had also said, that most of the days Swamji would be stay in Shiroor Math alone. After Ramya shetty was introduced to Swamji by an auto driver Jaggu three years ago.

It is understood that Ramya Shetty and Auto driver Jaggu have been taken into custody further investigation, but the police claim that they are not aware of it. Even SI of Hiriyadka said, that he is also not aware of Ramya shetty having been taken into custody..

Sources said Jaggu is auto Driver for many  years and sources recalled and said that even Bhasker shetty too started his career as an autodriver. Whether both Jaggu and Bhasker shetty are known to each and for long?

Another Source was pointing out, that Shiroor Swami got admiited to Gandhi Hospital at Udipi on Tuesday morning, and only later in the night on the same day, he was shifted to KMC Manipal . Why was a medical legal case not booked by the Gandhi Hospital and it had to be done by KMC Manipal. Speaking to Medical Director Tantri of Gandhi Hospital, he said, that Shiroor swami did not respond to treatment done for loose motion. He said swami also started losing conscious and slipped to a semi conscious state and it was also known that he was suffering from massive gastrointestinal bleeding. Initial Blood samples have been preserved and handed over to Police, Dr. Tanthri said.

He also said, that Gandhi hospital is not a Multi specialty hospital and for most of the test, they had to realize on KMC Manipal. Forensic Experts had earlier expressed that initial fluids should be preserved, and that would help is investigation, as to whether he was poisioned?

Vishwesha Theertha Swami, senior pontiff of Pejawar Math, had said in Hubli, on Tuesday, the 19th, that he strongly refutes reports that the Shiroor Math might have been killed by poisoning, and had said, “Why would someone kill the Shiroor seer? But the Post mortem report has revealed that he has suffered from food poisoning.”

“A team of doctors from Kasturba hospital provided medical care in the form of ventilator support, blood transfusion and dialysis. There is suspicion of poisoning and toxicological samples have been sent. His condition deteriorate rapidly in spite of best efforts from the medical team. He was declared dead at 8 am on July 19,” the release read.

A week ago, Sripada Acharya who is aged around 55 years and a close confidant of Shiroor swami had intimated a source who wanted to remain anonymous has said that quantities of Cashewnut kept in the Shiroor Math by Ramya Shetty was disposed off from the Shiroor Math, stating using this Ramya shetty was spoiling Swamji by giving him an alcoholic drink prepared out of it.
