Mangalore: Panambur police have made two arrests in connection with the recent murder of Shivaraj, a mechanic, whose body was found near the railway tracks at Tokur.
The arrested are Prakash and Dinesh. It is said the accused were once friends of Shivaraj but had drifted apart following some misunderstanding.
It may be recalled here that Shivaraj(25) of Kodikere Kulai was found murdered on July 20 near Tokur. He worked for the Bharat Motors near Kuntikan as a technician.
It is learnt that Prakash and Dinesh who took Shivaraj with them in a Maruti Omni later murdered him after tightening a nylon rope around his neck and then dumped the body near the railway track.
A Maruti Omni car belonging to the accused has also been seized.
