Kundapur : The Dr Shivaram Karanth Huttoora Prashasthi was conferred on Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation at a function held at Shambhavi School premises Kota on October 10. Vinay Kumar Sorake, State Minister for Urban Development conferred the award on Dr Alva.

The programme was earlier inaugurated by former CM DV Sadananda Gowda and  Gram Panchayat President Shobha.

The speakers recalled the yeoman contributions of the late Shivaram Karanth and also  the pioneering efforts made by Dr Mohan Alva in promoting art culture and education.

Jayaprakash Hegde, MP, Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLC, Anand C Kunder, Karanth Pratishtan’s Working President and others were present.
