Mangalore: In the latest instance of a mob frenzy, especially keeping Hindu Vs. Muslim theme in mind, a group of  Miscreants stormed into small shops run by a minority Muslim community, only a few kms. away from Uppinangady, the scene of a hateful Samajoytsava celebrated by Kalladka group on Sunday at the Mugaradka village in Belthangady taluk on following Monday, creating currents and Waves of inter-communal tensions, in rural parts of DK dt., where RSS and BJP have strong political footholds, in the aftermath of Sunday speeches and counter protests, as also vicious criticism next day from many directions.

Two chain snatching thieves were cought red-handed at the village religious fair on Monday. Local people handed over the 2 suspects to the organizers of Mugaradka Temple Jathre. Puttur ASP M.N. Anuchet rushed to the spot and arrested Altaf and Nazeer both residents of Valalu.

A Clash erupted between Hindu-Muslim groups and turned the situation volatile, with police resorting to cane charges.

The mob broke up, but Hindu boys pelted stones at Muslim shops, injuring 2, and 4 police vehicles were also damaged in the melee.
