Mangaluru: Shree Devi Education Trust organized NAAC orientation programme at Shree Devi Institute of Technology airport road, Kenjar, Mangaluru, recently. The orientation programme was attended by various affiliated UG and PG colleges pertaining to Shree Devi Education Trust, Mangaluru.

Dr.Abdul Rahiman Former Chairman, Calicut University Commission, Constituted by Government of Kerala and Former Vice Chancellor of Calicut and Kannur Universities, was the resource person, who enlightened teaching and non teaching faculty members on all the seven criteria for NAAC accreditation.

He elaborated in depth on all aspects like curriculum, teaching-learning and evaluation, Research, consultancy and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance, leadership, management, innovation and best practices.

He encouraged and insisted creation of IQAC cell at the earliest for better initiation and implementation of various documentation processes.

The programme was welcomed by Prof. Sharmila Sagar in the presence of Dr. Dilip Kumar K Principal and Dr. K.E. Prakash Director of Shree Devi Institute of Technology. It was an interactive session with good participation by Principals, HoD’s and faculty members of various colleges under Shree Devi Education Trust. Dr. K.E.Prakash Director inspired the staff to take up the challenges of the NAAC process for upgradation.
