Mangalore: Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateelu stated here at the Mangala stadium Complex today that various sports tournaments brought to light new regional talents. He was inaugurating Yonex Sunrise Badminton Championship at US Mallya Indoor Courts near Mangala stadium, and addressing sportspersons. He raised the point that Ball badminton game which was quite popular in this region needed to be nurtured.
The MP praised the talent from Prakash Padukone, and called upon local players to emulate him to make Indian proud in an International gathering of players.
The 4 day tournament has attracted a large number of Sshuttle Badminton players to the stadium complex.
A good number of sports lovers were present, besides industrialist, and coaches in the game.
