Kundapur : A bus and bike head collision kills 26-year-old youth at Sidhapura, Balebare Ghat near Masthikatte on Monday, July 9 Evening.

The deceased has been identified as Prasanna Shetty from Idoor. He worked abroad had come down to his native place to meet his brother who had commited suicide june month.

The mishap occurred when Prasanna along with his girlfriend Arpita, daughter of Seetharam Shetty from Siddapur, were travelling in his bike. The bike collided with a Tirupati bound bus killing Prasanna on the spot. In the mishap Arpita suffered severe injuries and has been shifted to Manipal hospital.

Arpita (23) was a student of Bhandarkar’s College. Prasanna and Arpita, who became friends through Facebook, were in a relationship for the last two years.

A case has been registered at Amasebail rural police station.
