Mangalore :  A six day exhibition cum sale of pure silk products  named ‘Silk India-2013’,  opened at Hotel Moti Mahal on September 18. Abhivridhi, an organization assisting artisans and weavers  is the organizer of the event in connection with Vijayadashami.

AJ Shetty, Managing Director of Hotel Moti Mahal inaugurated the event. Silk products from 22 states are on display at the exhibition, he said.

 T Abhinandan, Chief Organiser  of Abhivridhi said there are silk sarees ranging from Rs 1500 to Rs one lakh at the exhibition.

Tassar, Eri, Mulberry and Muga Silk Products endorsed by Silk Mark Retailers, Manufacturers and Exporters of India are on display.

Sridevi Education Institution secretary Maina Shetty and Chief executive officer Rakesh Rai  were also present.
