Mangalore : An incident place where an engraved silver plates covering the door of Koteda Babbu Swamy temple at Mullakad was stolen at midnight on July 1, Thursday.

The incident was discovered when temple priests reached the temple for the morning pooja on July 2, Friday.
The priest noticed that, the main entrance key of the temple had been broken and found the silver plating two gold chains and cash from the donation box were missing.

Though silver lining from the wooden part of the door was hard to remove it off, the culprit had tampered it too.
The temple authorities stated that the silver plating was worth over Rs 2 lac. The case have been registered in  Kavoor police station and investigating is on.
