Mangalore : A nationwide walkathon tour ‘Bharath Parikrama Yatra’ arrived Mangalore city on Oct 22, Monday.

On the occasion, large number of people gathered at Pumpwell to give a traditional welcome to RSS Pracharak Sitaram Kedilaya of Puttur.

Kedilaya will walk a total of 15,000kms in 5 years from Kanyakumari to Kashmir speading social harmony and encourage rural development throughout his yatra.

He launched his yatra in Kanyakumari on Aug 9 and has completed 75 days.

The crowd accompanied him in his walk till Bikarnakatte. Kedilaya also visited two temples and planted jackfruit saplings.

Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, J. Krishna Palemar, Sharan Pumpwell, M. B. Puranik, Bhaskar Chandra Shetty, MLC Monappa Bhandary, Shrikar Prabhu, Shakeela Kava, Sudhir Shetty and Puneeth Pumpwell were present.
