Mangaluru : Bike-borne miscreants stabbed a 28-year-old youth in B C Road around 9.30 pm on Tuesday and fled the spot.

The injured has been identified as Sharath, a resident Kandur in Sajipamunnur.

Superintendent of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that the injured has been admitted to a private hospital. Sharath is said to be a active RSS worker.

It may be recalled that ban orders under Section 144 of the CrPC are still in force in Bantwal taluk. Following the stabbing incident, security has been tightened in Bantwal taluk. Further investigations are on.
