Kundapur: Six fishermen rescued after a country fishing boat capsized at Kodi seashore near Gangolli on Thursday morning. All fishermen on board have been rescued after their boat was hit by huge waves and loss worth in lakhs is estimated.
The boat moved into the sea for fishing on Thursday morning and there were six fishermen on the board when the incident took place. Two out of six members team witnessed grave situation to save themselves from the disaster. The two, Karun Kanchigodu (40) and Bhaskar Kharvi (44), residents of Kanchigodu village, have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The other four of the six member team have been identified as Achyutha, Aju, Akshay and Ullas.
The police personnel from Gangolli station had rushed into the spot soon after the incident and took necessary steps to end the rescue operations.
