Mangaluru : Six persons were injured after the driver of a city bus driver lost control over his vehicle and hit four vehicles including two two-wheelers near Nantoor Junction on Saturday morning.
According to Mangaluru East Traffic police, the private bus Sri Vasuki was going from B.C. Road to the State Bank Circle.
While going down from Nantoor bus stop, the driver of the city bus lost control and hit the scooter that Alwyn, a resident of Derebail, was riding. It then went on to hit another scooter that Supriya Nayak was riding. The bus then went on to hit an auto rickshaw and a car before coming to a halt near the Kadri Shivabagh junction.
The police said Alwyn D’Souza and his wife Pramila D’Souza (32), who was riding pillion, were injured. They have been moved to different private hospitals. Pramila had injury on her head and her condition was serious, the police said.
The other injured persons were Supriya Nayak (24), her brother Arshit, and the autorickshaw driver Lingappa (70). They were also admitted to private hospitals, the police said.
