Mysore : 2 Chimpanzees, 2 Bat eared male Foxes and 2 female foxes, a total of 6 animals have been imported from the Singapore Zoo to Mysore Botanical Gardens(Zoo) recently.
An elderly Chimpanzee named Vali had died in Mysore recently has such, a pair of 2 new young Chimpanzees Nikoshi(11), Kimoni (6) were brought from Singapore to Mysore on Exchange basis of a black Bear (Krishna) and a male Langur (Ashwath) monkey had been sent to Singapore recently.
As the beasts are new to the Indian circumstances, it will take some time to acclamatise to the new conditions in Mysore zoo for the imported animals. So, visitors will not be allowed to take a look at the new entries to the zoo for a month or two.
Apart from Chimpanzees rising in number to six, the beasts at the also Mysore Zoo have now gone up by six new entrants.
