Mangalore : A group of six drunken men killed a security guard near Bunts Hostel on Feb 27 Monday.

The deceased guard is identified as Ganesh, hailing from Hubli. He was on duty at Essel Towers.

The six who were waiting for him to open the gate at 11:30 p.m started beating him up since he arrived late.

The police have already arrested two people, one from Bunder and the other from Vamanjoor. The four are absconding.

Ganesh was employed a month back was asked by his owner to close the gates at 10:00 p.m and never let anyone after that, but the group was in habit of coming late.

The Kadri Police is investigating the case.
