Mangalore : A UGC Sponsored National Workshop on ‘Changing Contours of Indian Economy’  was held at Eric Mathias Hall of St Aloysius College on September 24, Tuesday. The workshop was organised by the Department  of Economics of the College and Association of Mangalore University College Teachers(AMUCT). The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Jancy James, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Kerala.

In her address, she stressed the need for inclusiveness in higher education. Skills and expertise is a must for youngsters passing out of colleges and higher educational institutions, she added. She also  sought more number of higher educational institutes in the nation  to meet the increasing demand.

Dr.Mani K.P, professor and head, Department of Economics, Dr.John Mathai Centre Campus, Trichur, University of Calicut, Dr  A Narayana, Assistant Professor in Azim Premji University and noted columnist, Dr.Muzzaffar Assadi, Professor, Department of Studies in Political Science, University of Mysore were the resource persons.
