Mangaluru : The customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport seized Gold weighing 2.649 kg and worth Rs 1.36 crore which were being smuggled by two passengers who arrived by a flight from Dubai to Mangaluru.

In the first case gold worth Rs 86.69 lakh and weighing 1.684 were found concealed in the undergarment and sanitary pad worn by a woman passenger.

In the second case a passenger had concealed gold in powder form in four oval shaped objects. The gold weighed 964 grams and is worth Rs 49.74 lakh.
