Bangalore: While V.Somanna, named in Lokayukta report on illegal mining, managed to extricate himself from punishment by saying that his sons were managing mines(not he), and was inducted as a minister for Housing again on Monday(Aug.8), the Bellary Reddy group has come under sullen shaky fear of loosing their power and prestige, in the loser’s group of J.Shettar, who get in to the new cabinet, under CM DV Sadananda Gowda again.
The Bellary MLAs(3) boycotted the cabinet members oath-taking ceremony on Monday.
MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy went to Nagpur(RSS Headquarters) and Delhi to meet RSS and BJP top bosses, but has Lokayukta demanded prosecution of the accused MLAs, the Reddy group could not get a listening ear to their bickerings.
Somanna’s escape has divided and ruled the culprits in Bellary illegal iron are “mining lords”, and a ban on mining is declared by the Apex court.
Even loyal BJP ministers group was thrown in to perplexed conditions, with V. Somanna in the cabinet, keeping Reddy men out. There is no way to get into cabinet for the indignant Bellary ex-ministers, under Gowda’s dispensations now.
Yeddyurappa is facing criminal charges in Lokayukta court shortly, like Katta Naidu have on various charges being imprisoned on Monday (Aug.8). Gali J.Reddy is noe waiting for an occasion to retaliate against Yeddyurappa.
