Udupi : A bride to be commits suicide by hanging herself at Kolambe on May 6, Tuesday late night. The incident came to light Wednesday morning.

The deceased is identified as Prajna (29), daughter of the late Alevoor Prabhakar Acharya.

According to the sources, Prajna’s marriage was fixed with a man working and residing in the US and the family had conducted the engagement ceremony without his presence.

The police said that the deceased has left behind a death note, but has not mentioned the exact reason for the suicide.
