Beltangady : The special CBI court in Bengaluru has been granted bail Santhosh Rao, on Thursday April 13.

Santhosh Rao, a resident of Bajagoli, Karkala, is the accused in the rape and murder of  Sowjanya case in 2012. He was arrested, two days before of Sowjanya’s dead body which found at Dharmasthala forest area.

Santosh Rao, a contract labourer from Kundapura, as the only accused in the charge sheet.

The CBI court after four-and-a-half years of inquiry against Santhosh on Thursday April 13 granted bail.

Santhosh is presently remanded in Mangaluru jail.
