Mangaluru : Bhushan Gulabrao Borase, IPS has taken charge as the Superintendent of Police of Dakshina Kannada as Dr Sharanappa has been transferred to Bengaluru as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, south division.

Bhushan Gulabrao Borase previously served as the Superintendent of Police (CID) Bengaluru. He is a 2009-batch IPS officer from Maharashtra.

On the other hand, Inspector General of Police, Western Range Amrit Paul IPS has been posted to Bengaluru as the IGP, internal security division Bengaluru.
