Mangalore : Spandana Trust celebrated the International Women’s Day at the Infant Mary’s Convent, Sisters of Charity, Jeppu on March 5, Tuesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, Prof. Anasuya Kamath said that women being employed in job will help her to fight against atrocities.
She also said that education will make women strong to fight against all kinds of violence, especially domestic violence.
Sr Tulia Pais, Principal, presided over the function. Rekha Shetty, advocate, gave a talk on the occasion.
Sr Evangeline from Infant Mary’s Convent and others were present. A variety of cultural programmes were presented as part of the celebrations.
