Mangaluru: Cultural programmes of Kannada Rajyothsava organised by district administration, ZP, Sarvajanika Shikshana Ilakhe and District Kannada Sahiyta Parishad was held on Tuesday at Mangaluru Town Hall.

Veteran writer Prof B M Ichlangodu called the public to save Kannada by speaking in Kannada.

Kannada Sahitya Parishat President S Pradeep Kumar Kalkura said that language and culture should bring unity among the people.

Many people were felicitated by the Kannada Sahitya Parihat during the occasion.

Assistant Commissioner Renuka Prasad, Tahashildar Mahadevappa, DDPI Walter D’Mello and others were present during the occasion.
