Mangalore : A special committee comprising several police officials and experts have been constituted in the Mangalore Commissionerate limits to probe into the recent case of alleged sexual harassment of Pandeshwar ASI Srikala by ACP (South) TR Jagannath.
This was informed to reporters here by Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar. He said the Committee will be submitting its report at the earliest and action will be taken on the basis of the report.
The committee will be led by Kavitha BT, ACP (Central). Others in the committee are
Circle Inspector K Kalavathi, Hilda Gaveas, Assistant Administrative Officer in Mangalore Police Commissioner’s Office, Pauline Mariappa of Crime Branch in Commissioner’s office, Dr Rameela Shekhar, Dean of Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work, Vinay Gaonkar, Circle Inspector of CSB, Ramachandra B Maladevara, Circle Inspector of Urva police station, Girish, Sub Inspector in CSB, Mangalore, and Nagini, sub-inspector of Ulla police station.
DCP Mutturaya was also present at the press meet.
