Mangalore : After a review of ASI Srikala harassment case, special committee says, there is no evidence for sexual harassment.
Srikala ASI of Pandeshwar police station, lodged a complaint on May 23, had alleged that ACP Jagannath had mentally and sexually harassed her.
Committee submitted report to Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar to enquire the case, Commissioner stating that the charges against ACP Jagannath in the case could not be proved. As per the report, there has been no sexual harassment.
ACP Jagannath has been sent on leave following the incident.
The probe committee heads by ACP Kavitha ,Kalavathi, inspector, Hilda Goveas, Assistant Administrative Officer at the Commissioner’s office, Ramila Shekhar, Professor in School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya and Crime Branch Superintendent Pauline Mariyappa.
