Bhatkal : A woman hailing from Bangalore lost her life in an accident at Murdeshwar on May 2, Friday.

It s learnt that, Chandrakala Sudarshan (32) and her husband Ramayya, hailing from Yalahanka, Bangalore, had visited Murdeshwar and went to the beach on Friday.

As they were enjoying swimming in water, a speed boat which was carrying the passengers went out of control and hit them, sustaining serious injuries. The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

On the doctors advised they were taken to Manipal hospital for advanced treatment, but Chandrakala was pronounced dead on the way to Manipal. But condition of Ramayya is said to be serious.

Murdeshwar police station has registered a case.
