Bantwal: In a tragic incident a KSRTC bus crushed down a youth on National Highway near Manihalla on Tuesday.

Sushanth Rai (30) of Kodenjaru is the deceased person. He was on the way to Dharmasthala from Bantwal and near Manihalla he lost his life due to a speeding KSRTC bus.

The bus was plying from Dharmasthala to Mangaluru. It ran over Sushanth leaving him with severe injuries. Immediately he was taken to the hospital, but on the way he beathed his last. It is reported that over speed of the bus became the reason behind Sushanth’s death.

As soon as the incident took place, local people blocked the NH. The situation came under control after the entry of rural and town police.

He has survived by his wife who is a pregnant woman.
