Mangaluru: A woman employee of Summer Sands resorts in Ullal lost her life in a accident over by a speeding tempo traveler, at Kolya on Wednesday, February 17.

SThe deceased has been identified as Nagamma (65), a resident of Saraswathi Colony in Kolya.

Sources said that, Nagamma, wife of Late Mohan Poojary from Kolya was crossing National Highway 66 along with her daughter when the killer vehicle coming from the direction of Kerala knocked down. Nagamma had taken part in a family function at Ombathukere and as the daughter had to board the bus to Kasargod, the two were walking towards the bus stop. Even as Nagamma held on to her daughter’s hand while crossing the road, the speeding traveler crushed her to death.

Her body has been completely mutilated in the mishap.She is survived by her three daughters and one son.

Ullal police has registered a case and investigations are on.
