Mangalore : Addressing a press conference in Mangalore on Tuesday Nov.26, national President of Sri Rama Sene Pramod Mutalik pointed to the discrimination made by various nationals in India and blamed the govt. at the Center and the State of Karnataka of practising religious favoritism among the people India who leave to gather in the same country.
He pointed out that Muslim Haj Pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia once a year are paid Rs. 420000/- each for an air journey , while local Kannadiga pilgrims going across the state of Kerala to Shabarimale once a year after a 40 days of penance at home and reaching the hills with great trouble on foot are paid nothing.
Mutalik told pressmen that the Hindu temples all over India received Rs.300 crores from the devotees who visit them every year, of which 60 percent of the earnings of the temples are paid to the Muslims for the construction of their Mosques, while 20 percent is paid to the Bishop for constructing Churches, 10 percent to maintain Hindu temples in renovation and balance 10 percent goes to the salaried class employees of such temples. The discrimination against Hindu’s by the so called secular governments of Congress in Delhi and Bangalore. He so transparent that one need not say more, he stated.
However the newsmen felt that a reference to Shabarimale and not Tirupati in Andhra were Karnataka pilgrims regularly go, left something unsaid. Shabarimale is in Kerala on a hill in the South and it is a fact that thousands of Kannadiga pilgrims visit this temple under Kerala Govt.
Mutalik made a lot of demands in a press meet for the Hindu pilgrims visiting Shabarimale, Chikkamagaluru and Tirupati presides coastal Hindu pilgrimage center seeking a number of facilities for them at these centers.
